Henderson Waves is a long pedestrian bridge high above busy Henderson Road, connecting Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. From the side, its profile undulates in successive waves with arched steel above and below the walkway. Under foot, it seems a little like a bathtub with weathered wood covering the entire surface in a smooth, silvery skin. Something about it makes little kids run willy-nilly and adults climb the curved walls in complete adoration. As Jay said, it would be the perfect place for a skateboard. And the ugly encumbrances of safety fencing or guard rails are notably, thankfully absent (as they are throughout Singapore), making it your own damn fault if you fall over into traffic. Well worth the stroll from Point A to Point B!
