The NYK Apollo has docked in Singapore so I took a walk down to the local shipyard today — it’s actually not that far from our flat. In fact, upon returning home I realized I can see the green cranes from our master bedroom balcony that are unloading our ship. What an operation. It’s pretty unbelievable that our stuff is (hopefully) there somewhere among the stacks and stacks of sea containers.

This is as close as I could get without trespassing, taken over the chain link fence from a nearby footpath. The Apollo is enormous — with five green cranes at work unloading the cargo. Hope it all arrives safely! At least it doesn’t have far to travel now.
