Gorgeous! Go here and go to the basement. There’s a well-kept hawker center with some great options (I had shredded chicken porridge and some roti pratha — a favorite with any meal), and an incredible food market with everything from civet coffee (google it) to fine chocolates to kueh (squishy glutinous rice dessert balls — not bad) to gelato (tried the Tahitian vanilla) to fresh fruit to marinated peanuts and anchioves. The rest of Takashimaya is an upscale department store and shopping mall, noteworthy for a creative selection of children’s toys and a really good book store. We will explore this place more, for sure.
