iLight Marina Bay
iLight Marina Bay is a month-long annual exhibit of sustainable light installations in outdoor locations around Marina Bay. Exhibits (31 this year) come to life after sunset allowing people to meander around the marina each night at their own pace, free of crowds. Big to small, white light to rainbow color — the installations are super creative and fun to interact with.
Most memorable was the bigger-than-life squid on the deck next to the water. Slow throbbing white light, like a heartbeat, turned to technicolor upon touching one of its tentacles — revealed to all only after a curious observer dared to touch the exhibit. Other exhibits played with peripheral vision, told short stories through white light stick figures and turned plain surfaces into giant screens for projections of changing images. I’m already looking forward to next year!

nice photos, how did you manage to just photograph one person at the red iglo. When I was there it was full of people!

Thanks! We were there after dinner on a week night, so it wasn’t very crowded. Lucky I guess. 🙂
