Good beer with a great view: LeVeL 33 in Tower 1 of the Marina Bay Financial Centre. We dropped in early Saturday evening without a reservation — dinner was booked full but we were seated at an outside table overlooking Marina Bay. Over the next several hours we tried their lager, pale ale and stout (there’s also a porter), all of which were decent brews in a city that, overall, isn’t making much of its own beer. There are 12 tanks and 2 copper brewhouse kettles. As LeVeL 33’s website says, “Seasonal beers are crafted quarterly and available until the tap runs dry, all true to authentic recipes and brewing methods.”
We dipped into their bar menu with a Ploughman’s board — a great antipasto platter yet strangely served with no cheese, so we supplemented with the cheese board from the dessert menu. LeVeL 33 also does a Lazy Saturday Lunch and Sunday Roast — we’re looking forward to calling ahead next time and booking the latter to relive our Sundays in the U.K.
One thing is certain — LeVeL 33 offers some amazing outdoor tables and vantage points across Marina Bay and Singapore, especially for the nightly light shows. Cheers to that!
