Let’s Goa Little Longer

Why not stay for another sunset in Goa?
Enjoy this tranquil view from Benaulim Beach along with a handful snaps from an afternoon scooter ride. Cabo de Rama Fort (claimed by the Portuguese on arrival in 1763) gives a splendid view of Goa’s rugged coastline and the nearby San Antonio Igreja is still in use today.
Tomorrow, we’re heading northeast on the magic carpet to a land of many temples.
Until then,
Kelly
It must be a beautiful place !

What is it about a boat and a beach that spells romance, Kelly?! 🙂 –Curt

This is the quintessential Goa you have captured here – far removed from the beautiful but postcard beach shots. Love those bright red chilli peppers drying in the sun. Your tagline “Why not stay for another sunset in Goa?” brought back some very beautiful memories to me – me and wife, we had visited Goa on a 3 day trip long time back (during monsoons), took a motorcycle for rent and soaked up the beauty and lashing rains to the brim. And on the proposed day of return we reached the bus boarding sad to be leaving, and 15 minutes before departure cancelled the ticket and called up our lovely hotel owner, who graciously extended our stay by another 3 days. Goa is love!

Ahhh, that is such a great story!!! And I love your last line: “Goa is love!” That is what travel is all about — finding places to fall in love with, make memories, celebrate the discoveries of life, foreign and familiar. And think back on those times later and be so happy you cherished (and extended!) every moment. Thanks for sharing your Goa experience, Deb!
