Sweet Trinidad
Post of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together.
This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying at home.

Today we’re in Trinidad, Cuba. If Havana is the heat and Santiago de Cuba is the spice, then Trinidad is the soothing antidote with colors as sweet as sugar. The quiet streets and slow-paced way of life feel just right on a hot day in July.
Tomorrow, we’ll take a tour.
Until then,
Kelly
I can feel the heat. Your street scene with those pastel colours and blue sky could be Antigua, Guatemala. Look forward to the tour. Enjoy the weekend 🙂

Hi! I’ve only seen photos of Antigua but it definitely looks similar. Such beautiful spirit in the Latin American and Caribbean nations! Thanks! Hope you enjoy the weekend, too, and get a few more of those amazing Vancouver sunsets. 🙂

These cobbled streets with the San Francisco bell tower in the background. What a sight. Thanks for the sweet.

Great pics, Kelly. We think Trinidad is a gem of a town and when we were there hardly any tourist. Cheers!

Thank you! It’s interesting — so many people have commented on how charming Trinidad is. People who have and haven’t been there. It’s a special little place, for sure. Would love to go back and wander a bit more.

We loved Trinidad. Thanks for taking us back there for a stroll down memory lane. Loved all the colors, the architecture, the spirit of the people, the music….

Such an interesting, colorful place. I love the first picture with the scooter or motorcycle (not sure what to call it).
