Doors and Windows of Cuba
Post of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together.
This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying at home.
July 13th, 2020
I couldn’t resist! We’re ending our time in Cuba with a collage of doors and windows photographed while walking the streets of Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Trinidad. Enjoy!
I’m taking a few days off to get away in nature, although it’s possible I may blog from the road. We’ll see how it goes. In any case, I’ll definitely be back with you this Friday when we fly the magic carpet to the next destination.
Until then, take care of yourselves and enjoy the long summer days, and thanks for traveling with me daily for the past four months. We seem to be on a very long road.
More Friday,
Kelly
Many windows waiting for an opening. Hasta siempre.

A fine collection, Kelly. I was particularly taken with the one that included the mural. Where is your escape taking you? –Curt

So much character these doors have. Also, it is interesting how Cubans seem to enjoy adding these iron railings on their stuff.

Yes, some of the railings were really ornate and beautiful. I’m posting more doors today — from Taiwan. Thanks, Markus + Micah!

Ah yes, railings is the word. Looking forward to seeing the ones from Taiwan. We have not been! The pandemic cancelled our trip last April.
