The Ahwahnee Hotel and Half Dome

Post of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together.
This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying close to home.

July 20th, 2020

Yosemite’s Ahwahnee Hotel is one of the great, historic lodges of the U.S. Built in 1927, its age and character speak through its timber construction, huge fireplaces, stained glass details and patterns painted throughout. The hotel displays many antique kilim rugs and baskets woven by Native American tribes of the region.

Wander through and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Until then,
Kelly
