Bryce Canyon Pictorial
December 4th, 2020
After yesterday’s geology lesson about hoodoos, today we’re finally entering Bryce Canyon! My pictorial takes us from Sunrise Point to Queen’s Garden Trail, up the west side of Peekaboo Loop to the trail leading up to Bryce Point (last photo) with return to Sunrise Point on the Rim Trail overlooking the canyon (about 10 miles/16 km in all).
On this bright day when we were there in October, I had never seen a sky so deep blue. The soft, wide trail led past the most magnificent vistas — something to see at every turn. In all my hiking around the world, this day ranks among the top five.
New! If you’re viewing on a laptop or desktop computer with a larger screen, hop over to my website at compassandcamera.com where you’ll find the same photos but much larger for the full Bryce Canyon effect. The page can also be viewed on a tablet or mobile device.
I’ll step to the side of the trail so you can find your way among the hoodoos and pine trees, accompanied by your thoughts, in fresh air and sunshine.
Enjoy the walk!
P.S. Leave a comment if you experience any issues viewing the larger photos on my website .
