Travel Challenge Day Two: Vietnam
January 11th, 2021
Today we’re on Day Two of the Travel Challenge, thanks to Lisa at Micro of the Macro who nominated me. As I said yesterday, I nominate anyone who wants to put their favorite travel photos out into a world that could use a lot more love and beauty right now.
My photo today is from northern Vietnam, captured as I started walking through the Bac Ha market and saw these two women of the Flower Hmong hill tribe.
Tomorrow, the challenge takes us to Canada.
Until then,
Kelly
Photo of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together. This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying close to home.
What brilliant colours, there’s something to catch the eye. The patterns are very similar, yet different, like a personal signature.

Yes, the colors are irresistible. Each hill tribe has their own traditional colors and patterns, making the whole region come alive with beauty. I haven’t reposted anything from Vietnam yet so we may fly the carpet there soon. 🙂

What I really like about the photo, Kelly, beyond the incredible color, is the sense of closeness demonstrated by woman’s arm around her friend. –Curt

Yes, it was the simplest, sweetest gesture that only I could see from behind them. A really nice moment.

Very creative of you to take a picture from this side — it shows those lovely costumes but it also shows love in any language.
