Travel Challenge Day Four: Cuba
January 13th, 2021
It’s Travel Challenge Day Four! If you need some background on this, start from Day One.
I credit my husband J for the photo above. I was snapping away at street art when he told me a flower vendor was just around the corner. With the blue, yellow green and pink, all I had to do was point the camera. She had already created the beauty and composition.
Bonus frame below! Another favorite you may have seen here before… another moment in a good place at a good time, with the car stopped in the road, friends catching up with each other, watching the world go by.
More tomorrow from… Singapore!

Photo of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together. This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying close to home.
Cubans lack many things, especially those that need to be imported, but it is true that they have flowers in abundance and they know how to be rich in their penury.

Indeed. Their music, too, shows and provokes such an abundance of spirit. I’ve not been anywhere else where music is such an integral and joyful part of daily life.
