Travel Challenge Day Ten: Threshold
January 19th, 2021
For the final day of the Travel Challenge, here’s one of my most favorite photos ever. I captured it on a morning while desert camping in Wahiba Sands. It feels especially appropriate as we move across the threshold of today into tomorrow.
Thank you again to Lisa of Micro of the Macro for throwing this challenge my way. Going through photos is always a fun trip down memory lane, but this has also been a well-timed reminder of all there is to explore and experience in the world.
Bonus favorites from Oman below: the end of the road and the last sunset. What will you do with tomorrow?
Until then,
Kelly
Post of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together. This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying close to home.
It is certainly a beautiful picture, this door has a lot of personality with its shape and decorations. And as nothing is really perfect, it takes this stone to block the opening of the doors.

Yes, it is funny to see what’s happening behind the door and know that security is not its main function. 🙂

Ooh, I can see why, Kelly! The lure of the desert and that beautiful door 🙂 🙂

No wonder it’s your favorite Kelly. Looking through open windows or doors are wonderful metaphors for what’s ahead, which I think is how we all feel today. The future is always an open book and this book is one I can’t wait to read. 😊💕

I can see why this is a favorite photo (the one at top). I love that door but it’s the theme here — we’re opening ourselves to the world and hopefully, we can walk right into a new experience. Perfect for Inauguration Day. Perfect for those who travel. Thanks!

That’s a very beautiful door, and a beautiful view beyond that!
And Oman always seems to be connected with such glorious sunsets.

So great that Oman is a favorite of yours! Few people have been. It has so much to offer — coast, mountains, desert, wadis. Exotic and special!
