Indonesian Charm
February 15th, 2021
After yesterday’s visit to Borobudur, today I’m sharing more photos of our villa in Yogyakarta. I’ve written before about villa life in Indonesia and why renting a villa should be on every traveler’s bucket list. The experience brings architecture, nature and the art of living together into tangible, memorable form. Is it any wonder why so many travelers love and dream of Bali, Java and the many other islands of Indonesia? The charm of traveling here starts and ends at the place you call home, making everything in between even more enjoyable.
More tomorrow,
Kelly
Post of the Day: Adding a bit of light to the darkness as we get through the pandemic together. This series features travel photos from my archives, shared with you while staying close to home.
Looks like a dream come true. I’m sure you must have felt like you were still dreaming whenever you woke up in this little piece of heaven on earth. 😊

Very charming indeed, is it enough to keep the traveller from travelling?

Quite lovely, Kelly. I remember our “villa” in Ubud quite fondly, although I pretty sure it was quite primitive in comparison. –Curt

Nothing wrong with primitive. In fact, I love more rustic places. That’s what’s cool about Indonesia — so many different types of accommodations. And all so well integrated with the outdoors. Love the lifestyle there!

Ubud was so magical then. I don’t know if I could go back now that it sports a Starbucks. 🙂
