Here’s what I’m thinking today…since I’ll be doing exactly what you did in Bhutan, rather than me write another story of my own, I’ll just sort of copy and paste your WINNER of a story onto my blog, and Voila! great post, with no fuss, no muss and with all your good lines. I’m actually a little worried about Fin and Lotay. I wired the money, but have not heard back from them, but I think that may be the way they operate, slow and steady and easy???

Hmmm, surprised you haven’t heard from Fin and Lotay but tourism is so controlled there I wouldn’t worry. And they’re just really good guys anyway — slow, steady and easy is totally accurate. No way — cannot just re-post my post!! I want to see Bhutan through your eyes and read your thoughts on the country. When do you go?

OK, just got word they received my wire transfer. Now the airline is messing with me. Now, my concern is just where to go in Myanmar, and how to get from place to place.

How long are you in Myanmar? If you need a cool place to chill in Yangon, the 50th Street Cafe is very comfortable. They have wifi, good pizza, beer, etc. It’s western, but was a nice break after experiencing the challenges of Myanmar for a week. Although I’m sure by now things have gotten a little easier.

Challenges? Whoa, girl. You didn’t say nuthin about challenges. I’m in Myanmar 10 days. As of now, two days in Yangon. I have a hotel with a view of Schwedagon! And to be honest, I like comfortable places when traveling, even if it’s Starbucks (should I bite my tongue?). I like the quaint and filthy, but I like clean and comfortable for a bit, too.

10 days? Heaven! Schwedagon view sounds magical. Yes, challenges. But as long as you carry cash, you can pay to get anywhere you need to go. I rode in the back of a pick-up truck to Mount Popa — private transport! I like your travel style. I’m of the same ilk… dirty/luxury. The mediocre middle (where everyone tends to hang out) is what I abhor. Hope you have an awesome time in Myanmar!
