Catch the Train
August 17th, 2020
After yesterday’s stroll through Lukang, today we’re going east into the mountains of central Taiwan.
This little red train will take us to a journey among elders. Lace up your shoes for an easy walk among some of Taiwan’s oldest and tallest residents, above the clouds on the top of a mountain.
More tomorrow,
Kelly

I love your train picture. It conveys so much: romance, excitement, the joy of travel and the anticipation of new wonders and experiences that lie ahead. Looking forward to the destination 💕

I loved this train too! The ride was only about five minutes, but it was still really fun. 🙂

What a fun surprise! I never pictured a train running through the woods in Taiwan, but I guess I should have since I’ve heard it’s a country filled with great nature areas.

Taiwan was full of surprises. I’m not sure what we expected but I think we came away from our trip feeling like it’s a whole island world of deep history, abundant nature and culture in spades. And such friendly people. I keep saying that, but it really was so welcoming with little English spoken (which we found refreshing and fun!).

I am fond of woods and would like to travel deep to into it. These photos remind me of my ride through misty woods of Vayanadu, in the early morning!
